Senior and specialist opportunities
The exciting complex nature of our deals and the opportunity to work cross-commodity adds up to a more interesting role for experienced hires. The majority of recruitment at Essent Trading is into senior commercial roles. Financial engineers, traders, analysts, portfolio managers and supporting staff are given the scope and responsibility to make a difference to our business right from day one. Our culture is fast paced and performance oriented.
We have a strong preference for experienced candidates with a well-rounded understanding of a trading business. We need people who are able to make confident decisions, even in complex and ambiguous situations. People who are naturally inquisitive and passionate, don't hide behind trading or business jargon and have the confidence to ask questions and learn. Effective communicators with both specialist and general audiences, they deliver on their promises and can prioritise and manage expectations.
Internships
Interns join Essent Trading to work on a specific project or assignment. Those who are successful are selected from hundreds of applicants. If you have a degree/post-graduate qualification with a quantitive element for example Economics, Econometrics, Business Studies, Physics, Mathematics (or are at least two years into studying for this kind of qualification), commercial insight, a commitment to learning and burning ambition, a knowledge or interest in energy and cross-commodity trading and excellent verbal and written English, apply here.
